I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Monkey Republic Kampot. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist with my travel plans. The communal areas were inviting and perfect for relaxing after daily explorations, especially the garden.

Wi-Fi could be improved.

Great atmosphere with a nice mix of travelers. Clean dorms with fresh linen that offer a high degree of privacy.

Heat in the private room made it uncomfortable, compounded by mosquitoes and the lack of a mosquito net. The ceiling fan didn’t do much, and the extra fan was noisy, affecting sleep quality. Previous experiences with bike rentals were disappointing due to poorly maintained machines.

absolutely stunning experience with, so much potential! but, I had to deal with ants in my room and a too-bright glass backing ruining my sleep. I would've appreciated a complimentary upgrade for my troubles, but it seems like I was just treated like anyone else. what a shame, I almost thought of giving them a good review, just couldn't though.

Loved my stay at Monkey Republic! The room I had, a Budget Double Room, was incredibly spacious and clean. Great air conditioning kept the heat at bay. The bathroom was private, and they provided free toiletries, which was a nice touch. The restaurant offered a fantastic variety of food. I especially enjoyed the lentil chili. it had a ton of flavor. Yoga classes were available on-site, and both classes I attended were perfect for beginners. However, the Wi-Fi signal was weak in the private room, which was inconvenient when planning activities. Just a minor annoyance but still worth mentioning. Overall, a brilliant spot for relaxing after exploring!

The staff organized scooter rentals for $4, which made exploring Kampot super easy and accessible.

The curtains in the room were quite thin, allowing a lot of early morning light to flood in, which may not suit light sleepers.

The cheerful atmosphere and engaging interactions with both staff and fellow travelers made my stay enjoyable. I loved the vibrant live music events, which created a unique energy in the evenings.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a great balance of privacy and fun. I loved the spacious layout and natural light from the big windows that created a pleasant atmosphere. The garden area was a beautiful space to relax, complemented by friendly staff who were eager to help. I particularly enjoyed the good value meals, with a variety of both local and western dishes catering to different tastes.

The only downside was that the Wi-Fi signal was somewhat weak in certain areas of the hotel.

Just a solid selection for a brief visit in Kampot with good price value. The large comfy bed and soft linens made for amazing sleeps. Make sure to try their craft beers. the selection is impressive.

i loved my stay at monkey republic! the staff was super helpful, and the location was great—just a short walk to the river. my room was big, clean, and very comfortable, exceeding my expectations during this decent comfort.
